According to a report by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the company is working on an update, under which users can message anyone on WhatsApp without saving the number. This is beta version 2.22.8.11. After the new update, whenever someone shares a number on your chat, you can tap on it and send a direct message to that person. You do not need to save the number.
While there is no such feature right now, unless you save someone’s number, you cannot message him. So far, there is no such report as to when this feature will be released, but it is expected that it will be made available in the stable version after beta testing.
